Accent Quiz
I took this quiz and I thought I might sound like I was from back East because I don't feel like my accent changed at all moving to CA. However, it's interesting that it identifies me as having a midland accent from the West.

That was fun - I was not shocked at all that the South was highest for me - people here in CA will still sometimes tell me I sound like I am from the south. West was second though -so maybe CA is starting to sink in :)

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.
I think that was a neat test. People around here think I sound like I'm from CA and when I go home they say I've picked up on the midwest accent. So who knows what I sound like! I guess growing up in the west has impacted my accent! ;)
