Morning Sickness

I was hoping I was one of the lucky few who didn't have morning sickness but it's official...I am sick. It's been getting worse since Friday but I ultimately am just excited that I'm pregnant. I have my first Dr.'s appointment on Thursday for a meet and greet. I've heard good things about this doctor and actually met someone at church today who also just found out she's pregnant with her second and she said she really likes the doctor I'm going to go to.

oh that's good to hear that your doc will be a good one! I will praying for you with the sickness. Is it very bad, or just mild? I like your ticker!

I read your last post and never did tell you how EXCITED I am for you and your hubby! Being a parent is one of the best things (if not the BEST) thing in the world.....it is even too hard to describe. I can't wait for you to experience it. I am SO SORRY you are getting sick. I have no advice since I really was one of the lucky ones....I am sorry you have to go through this. I am hoping it goes by REALLY quickly and you can thoroughly enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

My morning sickness isn't super horrible. It's pretty constant almost all day but for the most part, it just feels like an upset stomache. However, every now and then, I get a bad wave of nausea. So far, I have not actually thrown up. I just changed my ticker because I like how this one shows the stages and what's happening.

Morning sickness should really be called all day sickness, huh? I hated feeling so icky but loved the fact that it meant that I was pregnant. Hopefully in another 6-8 weeks you'll be feeling much better. Love ya.

It does get better - I can attest to that - at about week 14, I can say I felt much better (I like food a little too much now - ha ha). They told me to take ginger capsules and it does help with the upset stomach feeling. Keep crackers by the bed - those help too :) And like Sarah said, the nice thing is that you are pregnant - that is what helped me get through - at least there was a great reason I felt yucky. :):)

I had pretty horrible morning sickness for all my pregnancys and for all 10 months! I guess if you add it up I was sick for 25 months! My Dr. suggested the ginger caps as well and she told me to try Vitamin B 12 too. Altoids also has a ginger flavored mint that might help. I think the thing that helped the most was ginger tea. It's worth a try if it gets too bad! I hope you feel better soon! It's all totally worth it!!!

Hope you're feeling better soon. I too like your little ticker. I didn't know that was what it was called until I read your comments. :)

Thanks for all the friendly comments everyone. Today was the first time I actually got sick...except I didn't have anything in my tummy. I can handle this for 6-8 more weeks if it means an adorable little baby at the end!

Yep :) And I am telling you - ginger helps :)

Hang in there Megan! It is well worth it. I'm glad you were able to find a good doctor--that is very important and sometimes very hard to do!
