Pumpkin Patch 2010

On October 10, we decided to head to the local pumpkin patch as a family and let Taeya pick out a pumpkin. We usually go with a group of friends when we do our Annual Harvest Party. This would have been our 3rd year but unfortunately, we’re not throwing a Harvest Party seeing as I’m 8 ½ months pregnant. This was the first year we went where it wasn’t really cold yet and we had a fun time walking around the patch looking for the perfect pumpkin and taking pictures. You can see our family photo from last year in the blog header. What a fun outing it is to go to the pumpkin patch. Although the pumpkins cost a little more than the grocery store pumpkins, it’s a great way to support local farmers and it sure is more fun than picking out a pumpkin at the store. This is a tradition I hope we will continue to do for many more years to come.

Christmas and a Birthday

Well, I still haven't finished sending out my Christmas cards, yeah, the ones that say "Merry Christmas" on them, so I guess it's still okay to do a Christmas post.

We had a wonderful time having family come out before and after Christmas. Although we had some trouble with flights arriving and such, and the little ones and many of the adults were sick with headcolds, we had a great time just getting together as family. I'm so glad everyone was able to come hang out with us in Colorado. My family all came before Christmas and stayed just a little after Christmas and Phil's family arrived on New Year's Eve and stayed for just over a week.

Taeya got spoiled by WAY too many presents from doting grandparents and a certain aunt. Not only did I not know where I was going to put all her Christmas presents, then we still had her birthday presents to go through. :) She had a lovely 2nd birthday party, or actually three. (One party with my family, one with Phil's family and one with our pastor's family's girls who love Taeya dearly.) I can't believe my sweet girl is already 2 years old. She has changed so much in the past few months and although I still refer to her as "my baby" it's getting hard to find the few traces of baby that still remain.

All the Trimmings

We had a wonderful time last weekend decorating our home for Christmas and picking out our Christmas tree in the mountains with our friends, the Jones family.

Enjoying our snack time in the middle of our tree hunting.

Taeya loved the sledding.

Taeya had a great time playing in (eating) the snow and having fun with the Jones girls and we hunted for our tree.

Taeya looked like such a big girl here, I just had to get a picture of her eating her cereal.

Tinkerbell & Fall Cleaning

Here's my little Tinkerbell as I laid her down for a nap. She's almost always happy when it's bedtime/naptime.

So excited for another naptime.

Mmmmm...this is tasty.
I can't roll this ball Mom.

I dressed my baby up as Tinkerbell this week. She looked so precious and had fun playing with the fringes on the outfit. She pooped a few times while wearing the outfit so then I nicknamed her Stinkerbell. She helped her Daddy and I serve hot dogs at our churches annual Pumpkin Patch party last night.

This afternoon I decided it was time to put away the summer clothes and weed out clothes that Taeya's outgrown. I pulled everything out of her closets and drawers and this is what I found. (I puchased a few outfits for Taeya before she was born at Thrift stores but almost all of these clothes were given to Taeya by friends and family. THIS is why I keep telling the Grandma's not to buy Taeya more clothes!)

The clothes I started with. The clothes being put away.Taeya's closet now.

Taeya "helped" me make these yesterday. They're very yummy.
