Happy Birthday's, Baby's Room & Ultrasound

I want to first of all wish both of my parents happy birthday! My mom's birthday was 2 weeks ago but I was getting ready to head to CA so I didn't wish her a happy b-day on my blog then. My dad's bday is today. Although I wasn't able to be with them on either of their birthday's, it was nice being able to spend time with both of them in recent days. I love you both thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssss much!

As I mentioned before, I purchased my baby's bedding on ebay. It was brand new and came while I was in CA. This past week, my mom's been staying here in CO helping get the baby's room ready. We made a LOT of progress. She did most of the work. We washed the bedding and got it all set up. My mom painted 2 paintings of "Guess How Much I Love You" scenes before she came and 2 more yesterday. She also recovered the glider and ottoman while she was here. She's going to finish the arm covers at her house. I have a very talented mother who did so much to make Baby's room beautiful! Thank you, thank you, thank you mom!!!! You're the best! At my baby shower, she gave me a special shadow box that has memento's from my grandparents and parents. Almost everything in the shadow box is very old and has a special family history behind it. She wrote the history of each item down and attached it to the back of the box. What a special piece of family history.

The duvee cover on the bed is one my mom made for her house but brought out for the baby's room since it matched so well. It definitely helps tie the room together. On one of the paintings it says, "I love you to the moon and back." My mom found an adorable moon nightlight that hangs on the wall. It gives off a beautiful soft glow that will be perfect at night when I go in to see the baby. I also included a picture of the inside of the armour. (sp?) It's definitely getting full of adorable baby outfits. I can't wait to dress my little one in them. I'm just REALLY hoping she's a girl and that we don't get any late suprises or we'll be in trouble. :)

I had an ultrasound on Monday, along with my flu shot and glucose test (yuck and yuck). I'm guessing everything's okay with the glucose as I've not heard back from them. It was hard to make out much in the ultrasound as Baby's much bigger and takes up more of the screen. At this point she's breech so my doctor told me I'd better start talking to her and telling her to move into position. We still have some time and she's definitely still moving a lot. During the ultrasound, her head, arms and legs were all tucked on the right side of my belly together. We tried to check and make sure we're having a girl but she wouldn't cooperate so we didn't really get that confirmation. Baby's measuring a little behind in her growth but not enough to make my doctor worry at this point. Everything else looks good though. I'll have another growth ultrasound the week of Thanksgiving. That's about it! Enjoy the pics. I still need to post some from the shower. If I have time this weekend, maybe I'll get another belly shot up. It's growing a lot!

Home Again

Well, after a wonderful 6 days of travel, I am officially home. :) I had a lovely time at Sarah's house visiting with family and my adorable niece Bekah! I am officially in my 3rd trimester now and am getting slightly more uncomfortable each day. It's not really my size that bothers me but the nerves in my legs and such. I can't wait to see Baby Camp next Tuesday on the ultrasound. I'll write more about my trip when I have some pics to put up. I got my bedding today and I love it! My mom is here and is helping me get the baby's room all ready. I'll post pics soon.

o/o/ Leavin' On A Jet Plane o/o/

It has been a LONG time since I've been back in Santa Rosa with my family. The last time I was there was last Thanksgiving and it seems like ages ago. In a few minutes, I'll be driving to Denver and then flying to Santa Rosa! I'm so excited to see all of my friends and family out there. Since moving to CO, I don't have any family out here and just a few friends. It'll be nice to be able to take a much needed break from work and relax with my sister and other family over the coming few days. I'll be heading home on Tuesday and my mom will travel back with me. I'm very excited about the adventures I will have in the days ahead.

Photo Questions

This was on my friends page and looked like a lot of fun so I thought I'd give it a shot. You can ask me any random question that can be answered with a picture and I'll TRY to do it for you....... Here are some examples:

What does your closet look like? What's your favorite outfit? What's your favorite wall color in your home. Etc. Be creative. :) I am visiting my sister and family on Thursday so I may not be able to post all the pics until I get back. I'll try my best though.

Ebay!

I have been looking at different bedding in stores and online. I found one I liked that I bid on on Ebay and I am so excited because I won it today!!! I could post a picture from the ebay page but I think I'll wait until I get the bedding set up in the baby's room. I think it'll be very pretty and will look nice with the theme I've chosen. (I bid on the same bedding set two days ago and lost. I'm glad though because I got it for $15 less the second time around.) I think this will finally make me feel like progress is being made in the baby's room.

100 days!!

I've been waiting for my ticker to get to 100 days for a LONG time now! Although it seems like this pregnancy is taking a long time, I know at the end it will seem much faster. Today, I got my first pregnancy comment at work from someone who didn't know I was pregnant. So, I must officially look pregnant...only took 6 months! I had a HARD day yesterday as I tutored for 3 1/2 hours then worked for 6 1/2 more plus drove my 30 minute commute each way. All that on 5 hours of sleep the night before. Needless to say I WAS BEAT when I got home at 8:15. I ate dinner and went directly to bed. Thankfully, I slept for nearly 11 hours so I was much more refreshed today. I still have to work all day tomorrow but we'll make it through.

A few pics for your viewing pleasure. Taken 25 weeks 5 days along. I also included a picture of the nursery corner. The tiger is in the crib and the bears in the bassinet so Puma (our kitty) doesn't claim them as her own. She LOVES hiding under the bassinet though. Everything we bring home for baby, Puma has to explore. It's pretty funny. I found a little play mat at a garage sale the other day and brought it home and within minutes Puma was walking on it and playing with the toys attached to it. Let's hope she's willing to share with Baby when the time comes.

Glider

Here's my crazy but extremely comfy glider and ottoman. Mom and I will probably be recovering it once we find nursery bedding.

Small Update

Well, I don't really have too much to update. I enjoyed my Monday off work since I'm working for the next 8 days straight minus Sunday. Yesterday morning, I had my OB checkup. Everything looks good. Because of my liver issues, my OB doctor wants to do another ultrasound at my next appointment. Hey, I'm not complaining! I love seeing my little one squirm around on the monitor. :) For those of you who know what's going on with my liver, my bloodwork has just continued to improve w/pregnancy. My last two tests (Aug/Sept) they were in the normal range. Good news for me and Baby! I have started to develop some carpol tunnel syndrome in my right hand so my doctor wants me to wear a wristguard at night. That's about it. Sorry I haven't posted pics for awhile. I'll try to post one later of my super comfy glider.
