An Evening With Friends

Taeya asked to hold Brecken and wanted me to take their photo
The other week, we had dinner at our friend's, Eddie & Denise's house. Eddie took some adorable photos of the kids that I just had to share. Taeya loved playing tug-of-war with their dog, Cosette. Thank you for having us over for dinner and thank you for the adorable photos of my kids!

Bubbles, bubbles. Brecken LOVES blowing bubbles.

My favorite of Taeya. She's such a sweetie!

Good friends. :)

Did Taeya win?

Taeya's a great dresser huh? Her outfits make me laugh!

It was pretty even but I think Cosette was a bit stronger than Taeya.

Camping

The weekend after Labor Day, we went camping at a park nearby with two other families. We had a great time, great weather and the kids all got plenty dirty...especially Taeya. She was about 3x's as dirty as each of the other kids. Enjoy the pics.
Our little family right before we headed home.

See what I mean by dirty? She LOVED it.

Sliding down the dirt hill.

Taeya had fun dipping her hands into the creek. She wanted to do it over and over again.

A little dirt make-up.

The three "babies" had fun playing together.

Taeya watched the big kids and learned how to slide. She had fun climbing as high as she could and sliding down on her bum.
The big hill.

Taeya enjoyed riding on daddy.

Visiting the Animals

We went to visit some ducks, lamas and horses that live near us. Taeya loves seeing all of the animals, especially the ducks. She didn't mind getting splashed by them. She loved pointing at them and saying "quack, quack."

I love this one.

There's the duckies taking there bath.

Strawberry Shortcut-Race #2

On Father's Day, I ran the Strawberry Shortcut 5K with 2 of my friends, Tracy & Joy. Phil graciously got up extra early to cheer me on and watch Taeya during the race. Since this race was only a 5K (3.1 miles) I tried to push myself on my time. I averaged about a 10 minute mile. My goal was to finish around 30 minutes and I came in at 31:10. Not too bad. Tracy finished about 45 seconds ahead of me and Joy was just behind me (AND she's 3+ months pregnant!) Joy's husband, John, ran the 10K and finished about 58 minutes I think. We had a lot of fun and all went to a pancake breakfast that the Kwanis club puts on every year after the run.

Taeya and Melanie enjoying a snack together. Melanie's going to be two houses away from us once we move and I'm sure the girls will be spending lots of time together. :)

John & Joy. These are our friends who got us into our new home. We always have a great time hanging out with them. Joy, Megan & Tracy

We run quite often on Sunday afternoons. We might continue in the evenings as the days have been getting too warm to run.

Right before I finished the race.

Friends at the Park

Tonight, I babysat my friends' kids for a few hours. We went to the playground nearbye and I brought my camera of course. Here are a few of my favorites of all of the kiddos.
This little one is only 9 days older than Taeya but you'd never know. They are so different in size and he's been walking since about 9 months. We're still waiting for Taeya to walk and she's over 14 months old! (She did take a few steps to Phil and I both last night.)
They both kept pushing each other out of the way so they could be in control of the slide. They had fun putting the pebbles on the slide...and Taeya had fun putting them in her mouth. The two oldest. :) I like this photo.

What'd I tell you!? I don't think she actually swallowed any, but she definitely tasted quite a few.
Swinging on his tummy.
Sweet #3.

She just learned how to pump recently.

We were playing duck, duck, goose and Taeya crawled away. Now, she's thinking we're a little too far away and wants to be closer.
Her pretty shoes she wore today. I love them!
This is the cute little peacoat I got at my babyshower from my Aunt Jenn. It looks adorable on her and she likes it too.

Time to Swim!!!

Every week, Taeya, Annie and I go to the pool to swim and I teach swim lessons. Each week, Taeya gets to play in the pool with us and swims underwater back and forth to Annie and I. Here are a few pictures of our time there this week.
Backfloating Time!! Getting ready to be dunked. We count to 3 so she knows we we're going to put her under.
Look who's underwater!!
All done!

Aren't they so cute? Such good friends.
