A Fun Family Outing

At the end of March, Phil and I decided that we needed to get out of the house and do something fun with our little family. We drove to Grand Junction and made our first stop at Wendy's for frosties.

We then drove through the Colorado National Monument. It was stunning.

Taeya is scared of heights, hence her need to hang onto the fence as she tentatively looked over the edge of the cliff.

After driving through the National Monument, we took Taeya to a park to play. While we were there, we found out there was a little pond with ducks so Taeya had her first experiencing feeding the ducks. She loved it!

Taeya did some rolling down hills and running up and down them which she thought was great fun.

After hanging out at the park we drove to Chuck E Cheese. When Phil's parents were here after Christmas, Grandma took Taeya there and had a few leftover tokens that she left with us. We were able to take her there without spending a penny (thanks Grandma!). She had a very fun filled day and we enjoyed playing with our sweet girl and seeing the joy that the park and Chuck E Cheese brought her.

It was so wonderful to get out of the house and do a little something different as a family.
At the end of our fun filled day, we had a special treat and went out to dinner (with coupons of course!) I'm so glad we were able to just spend some great family time together making some wonderful memories. Phil and I are excited to take Taeya back to that park again to feed the ducks.

Oh I Wish I Was An Oscar Myer Wiener

Oh I wish I were an Os-car Mayer Wie - ner
That is what I'd tru-ly like to be
'cause if I were an Os-car May-er Wie - ner
Ev-ery one would be in love with me.

Today, after Bible Study I had to stop at the grocery store for milk. When I parked, I noticed that there was an unusual, yet recognizable vehicle across the parking lot. After I got my milk, we went and took a few pictures of and with it. How funny is this?? It was just parked in the back of the lot. There were no workers around passing out free wieners or cute little kiddos singing the Oscar Myer song. However, I'm glad I stopped to enjoy the moment because how often do you see the Weinermobile?!
Note the license plate. Becca, Taeya and Amanda

Our friend Amanda was with us so she joined in the fun.

Friends at the Park

Tonight, I babysat my friends' kids for a few hours. We went to the playground nearbye and I brought my camera of course. Here are a few of my favorites of all of the kiddos.
This little one is only 9 days older than Taeya but you'd never know. They are so different in size and he's been walking since about 9 months. We're still waiting for Taeya to walk and she's over 14 months old! (She did take a few steps to Phil and I both last night.)
They both kept pushing each other out of the way so they could be in control of the slide. They had fun putting the pebbles on the slide...and Taeya had fun putting them in her mouth. The two oldest. :) I like this photo.

What'd I tell you!? I don't think she actually swallowed any, but she definitely tasted quite a few.
Swinging on his tummy.
Sweet #3.

She just learned how to pump recently.

We were playing duck, duck, goose and Taeya crawled away. Now, she's thinking we're a little too far away and wants to be closer.
Her pretty shoes she wore today. I love them!
This is the cute little peacoat I got at my babyshower from my Aunt Jenn. It looks adorable on her and she likes it too.

Fun With Friends

I had some of my young friends over the other day and we made some barrettes while Taeya was sleeping. In my craft box I had some googly eyes. We had a good laugh playing with them. We were cracking up laughing! Hope they bring a smile to your face today.

VA Aquarium

One of the days we were in VA, we took Taeya to the aquarium. She really enjoyed looking at all the fish and other animals. It was a fun thing to do on a drizzly winter day.

Here's the seal that Phil had fun playing with through the tank.
He'd move his hand back and forth and the seal would dance, following the movement of his hand.

We enjoyed walking down to the river although it was too cold to stay outside for long. We saw two bald headed eagles in the trees while at the aquarium.
Taeya, pretending to be a little sailor.
Mommy and Taeya got eaten by a shark.
Uh oh, I guess it swallowed Mommy.
Family picture by the fish tank.
Taeya really enjoyed all the fish and turtles swimming around. She tried to touch a lot of them and could have stayed there all day watching them.
Watching the sea turtle come for a visit.
Mommy and Taeya pet sting rays. Taeya's little arms weren't long enough to reach them but she enjoyed splashing in the water and watching them swim beneath her fingertips.
