Happy Birthday's, Baby's Room & Ultrasound

I want to first of all wish both of my parents happy birthday! My mom's birthday was 2 weeks ago but I was getting ready to head to CA so I didn't wish her a happy b-day on my blog then. My dad's bday is today. Although I wasn't able to be with them on either of their birthday's, it was nice being able to spend time with both of them in recent days. I love you both thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssss much!

As I mentioned before, I purchased my baby's bedding on ebay. It was brand new and came while I was in CA. This past week, my mom's been staying here in CO helping get the baby's room ready. We made a LOT of progress. She did most of the work. We washed the bedding and got it all set up. My mom painted 2 paintings of "Guess How Much I Love You" scenes before she came and 2 more yesterday. She also recovered the glider and ottoman while she was here. She's going to finish the arm covers at her house. I have a very talented mother who did so much to make Baby's room beautiful! Thank you, thank you, thank you mom!!!! You're the best! At my baby shower, she gave me a special shadow box that has memento's from my grandparents and parents. Almost everything in the shadow box is very old and has a special family history behind it. She wrote the history of each item down and attached it to the back of the box. What a special piece of family history.

The duvee cover on the bed is one my mom made for her house but brought out for the baby's room since it matched so well. It definitely helps tie the room together. On one of the paintings it says, "I love you to the moon and back." My mom found an adorable moon nightlight that hangs on the wall. It gives off a beautiful soft glow that will be perfect at night when I go in to see the baby. I also included a picture of the inside of the armour. (sp?) It's definitely getting full of adorable baby outfits. I can't wait to dress my little one in them. I'm just REALLY hoping she's a girl and that we don't get any late suprises or we'll be in trouble. :)

I had an ultrasound on Monday, along with my flu shot and glucose test (yuck and yuck). I'm guessing everything's okay with the glucose as I've not heard back from them. It was hard to make out much in the ultrasound as Baby's much bigger and takes up more of the screen. At this point she's breech so my doctor told me I'd better start talking to her and telling her to move into position. We still have some time and she's definitely still moving a lot. During the ultrasound, her head, arms and legs were all tucked on the right side of my belly together. We tried to check and make sure we're having a girl but she wouldn't cooperate so we didn't really get that confirmation. Baby's measuring a little behind in her growth but not enough to make my doctor worry at this point. Everything else looks good though. I'll have another growth ultrasound the week of Thanksgiving. That's about it! Enjoy the pics. I still need to post some from the shower. If I have time this weekend, maybe I'll get another belly shot up. It's growing a lot!

Wow-what a beautiful baby's room. It looks great, and so does the glider! :) Looks like you are all ready for this baby. That is awesome that you get so many ultrasounds. I usually only get one but I got 2 with Sophia because they were worried about her size. Good thing I didn't have anymore, the insurance didn't even cover the one (I'm just glad they covered everything else! :)

I've had so many ultrasounds for a number of reasons. The first was early because I was so sick and they wanted to check and make sure everything was okay and I wasn't having twins. The second was a regular scheduled one. The third ultrasound was when my sister was visiting and they lost the doppler at the office so had to use the ultrasound to check baby's heartbeat. The forth was my regularly scheduled ultrasound to measure baby and find out the sex. The fifth was because my uterus was measuring just a centimeter smaller than normal and my doctor wanted to check the baby since I have a liver disease. The next one is because my baby measured small on ultrasound 5 so my doctor wants to check growth in a month to make sure she's making adequate progress. Thankfully, everything seems to be going good with the baby and there's no serious concerns. I do however, enjoy seeing my baby each and every time I get the chance. :)

Did your mom paint all of your GHMILY artwork? If not, could you please post where you got it or even if your mom would be willing to paint more for profit? :)
