It's a...

Drumroll please...

we found out today...

our baby is made of...

Sugar and spice and everything nice!

That's right, we're having a little GIRL!!!

She's still making me sick most days but boy is she cute. :) We have a number of ultrasound videos that I'll be posting later. They're each a few minutes long and not super interesting as much of the video is the doctor taking measurements. However, you'll be able to see our cute baby girl. She's measuring right at 21 weeks 2 days. We understand that although we've been told we're having a girl there is a chance we can be suprised later on. Throughout the half-hour ultrasound the doctor kept checking and she kept saying, "Still looks like a little girl to me." :) It was especially fun today because it was Phil's first time seeing our little one. I think he really enjoyed it. We have some names that we like but I'm probably not going to be sharing them online until the baby is born. Although I would have been happy with a baby boy as well, I'm super excited about having a little girl! I'll post the video's tomorrow. Come back then to see the ultrasounds.

Congratulations!!! I've always wanted a girl (I was such a girlie girl, well, kind of still am!). I bought some girl stuff at garage sales for our baby before I found out that we don't get to pick the gender in the program that we're in.

Oh well, Mark said that if this one is a boy (which would still be cool), we will go overseas for a girl next time.

I'm so excited for you!!!

Congratulations! Our ultrasound tech kept checking our baby also throughout the appointment to make sure her prediction was accurate, so I felt pretty confident that she was right - and sure enough, Luke was a boy! Even still, that's the first thing I asked when he came out: "Is it a boy?" That little edge of uncertainty was still there. :) I was kind of hoping for a boy, so I'm glad you'll also be getting what you were hoping for! That's very fun! :)

I really thought Bekah was a girl just from my gut feeling and the quick peek at the ultrasound even though the doctor didn't say it was a girl. After she delivered they told me it was a girl, wrapped her up and gave her to me. As soon as they left I unwrapped her and peeked just to make sure myself. Yup! Girl it was.

Congratulations on finding out. Now Bekah will have a little girl cousin to play with almost just her size. I'm sure that she will be the bossy older cousin though even though we will work on the bossy part.

awwwwe. I love love love pink everything. I'm jsut as happy to be preparing all my tiny blue stuff though.

If they catch a peek from the front and the back right away then they can be pretty sure that nothing is tucked up. At 21 weeks it is easier to do that. :) They probably are pretty sure. With Ellie they were only able to get it one angle and did the whole "dont paint anything pink" thing. With Brianna she was very sure but still covered herself by saying "maybe". Sort of hard to make the same error with boys.
