Home and Resting

Taeya's going home outfit

Mommy and Baby ready to head home

Taeya is a bit small for her carrier. She's got lots of room to grow.
Daddy making sure his little girl is all taken care of.

I'm getting ready to go to bed so this won't be a long post. I'll put another up tomorrow. We were discharged from the hospital after a very nice stay. We stopped by Target on the way home for some supplies we needed. While there we ran into some friends who were shocked to see us out and about. We got home about 3:30 or so and Taeya and I took a nice nap while Phil unloaded the car and put everything away. Daddy's been a HUGE help. I should have babies more frequently so I can see him do the dishes and clean the kitchen. *big grin* We had a yummy meal brought to us by Pastor Eddie and his wife, Denise. They were able to spend a bit more time with Taeya when they brought dinner over which was nice.

Aren't I looking cute?

A sweet moment between Daddy and Taeya

Megan, I am so glad you are going home and feeling good enough to be out and about! You look very awake and chipper and ready to start your new life at home!

it seems like husbands are generally better at swaddling. i'm not sure if this is because they get a head start by being professionally trained & practiced in the hospital while Mommy is not paying any attention, or if it's because they don't hesitate to bind up baby as though he or she is in a straight jacket whereas Mommy prefers to genty wrap the blanket cozily around baby, hoping he or she will sleep quietly and not squirm out until it's time to wake up.

Congratulations! Isn't it amazing to have a little tiny baby?? I can't believe how much I am learning every day, but we've been blessed with a VERY easy little boy--he only woke up once last night :)

Mark's been great just like Phil has. He does half of the night time feedings (Steven usually wakes up twice a night)--a big benefit of bottle feeding! He's also good about changing diapers and everything else.

Enjoy your little girl!
