A Family Walk

Edit: Taeya's Stats from the Doctor's
First of all, I just noticed that Taeya is 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days old. Pretty cool huh?
Christina reminded me that I didn't post Taeya's stats from her doctor's appointment this week. She grew 3 inches since birth and is now 21 1/2 inches long. She put on four pounds and is now 9 lbs 14 oz. I asked the dr where she was on the charts and I BELIEVE he said, 10th % for length and 25% for weight. Although that might be reversed. I don't remember. Her chest was 15 inches and her head I think was 14 1/4 if I remember right. Although her percents are on the lower end, they're expected to be since she started at the bottom of the chart. The important thing is that she's growing on the curve which is great.

on Wednesday On Sunday, Phil, Taeya and I all bundled into the car and drove to the Glenwood Canyon for a family walk. It's nice going there as they have a really long bike/walking path right by the river and it's absolutely beautiful. The last time we went was early in my pregnancy when Phil and I went rollerblading there last summer. We drove into the Canyon and parked at a rest area. We didn't walk far before we saw this:

As you can tell, I was a bit sad. We were able to walk probably about 1/2 mile along the path that had been cleared so we got a bit of walking in. Right next to the parking lot we were very suprised to find this:

A huge printer! Why in the world would someone dump a printer in the snow by the beautiful Colorado River? It made a photo op so Phil was kind enough to be in the picture.

While we were walking on the path there were lots of little signs telling us about the fish, birds and bats that live in the area. We stopped to read them all as we really didn't have much else to do on our short walk. Phil said he felt like he was at the zoo. Only difference was we didn't actually see the animals the signs were talking about.

We made the best of our walk and Taeya did great in her stroller, as always and then Phil took me out to icecream. There's a little family owned place that we went to the first time we visited CO over a year ago. I got chocolate peanut butter icecream at that time (which is very hard to find I might add). While I was pregnant, I wanted to get it again so we went back 2 times during my pregnancy and again on Sunday. Each time we went back the store was closed. We're talking regular weekend hours where business would be good. It's a little family owned place but we've found it open only one time out of the four times we've gone. Pretty sad if you ask me. So, we went to Marble Slab instead and paid nearly $10 for two icecreams. It was good but outrageously priced.

The end of a fun afternoon.

Love the little bunny ears hat! Such a cutie. The ice cream sounds expensive, but it looks yummy. :)

Megan, I would SO love to be neighbors! I want Phil to get that job!!!
We were actually talking about the possibility of coming to visit you during our drive out there..........until we looked at the map and it showed that it's like a whole day out of the way. The way we will be taking is up through Montana and North Dakota and all those....and Colorado is way out of the way. I'm sorry....but I will deffinately have to come out to visit once we're out there!~

I totally understand why (I know work, baby, etc is very busy)- but I had to give you a hard time and say this is the longest I have seen you go before posting!
