Phil's family is very excited about meeting baby Taeya (mine are as well of course) but they weren't going to be able to fly out to see her until May when his sister is done with college for the semester and his dad has time on leave (from the military). When Taeya was born, Phil's dad knew that Phil's mom really wanted to see the baby so he decided to suprise her with an airline ticket. She's an instructor for nursing classes and her next class starts on Monday. Although she doesn't have much time, he bought her tickets from Wednesday night to Saturday morning. We (yes, ALL of us were going to pick up Grandma) left last evening to go pick her up at the Denver airport and got about 15 minutes out of town when she called to say her first flight took off late and consequently she missed her flight from DC to Denver. :( We were very sad to hear this but it all worked out in the end. They put her up in a hotel (she got a whole 2 hours of sleep) and had her fly out early this morning. So, we left this morning at 4:00 AM to go pick up Grandma and this time she arrived! Taeya was such a good baby the whole way there and back. It was so fun to introduce Grandma to her first grandbaby. (She's been hinting that she wants one ever since we got married!) We have about 24 hours here at home before we head back to Denver for Phil's work Christmas party. Grandma is going to be Taeya's first babysitter. :) We're staying in the same hotel the party is in so we'll be close by. Then, the next day we get to hang out a little later with Grandma before she flys home in the afternoon. It's been a whirlwind of a few days but we're having such a nice time with Grandma. Enjoy a few more pictures.

That is so great Megan! I'm so excited that Taeya's grandma got to meet her. I know that Grandma's love that time with their grandchildren...especially when they don't live close by. :) I'm so proud of you getting out and still doing things. Just don't push too much. :)
YAY! What a special time, I'm glad she got to meet her too! Ha ha, I had to laugh at that last picture, poor Taeya looks like she's saying, "um, I don't know this person holding me...HELP!"
