Doctor Day

Yesterday, we had three different doctor appointments to go to. Taeya had her two week appointment where she got weighed and stuck on her heal twice. :( She almost needed a third stick since she didn't bleed much. She didn't cry when they first stuck her at all and she cried for about 5 seconds after the second stick...then she just rested with her eyes closed. I love the picture Phil took as we were waiting for the doctor to come in.

Later, I went to my OB appointment which was short and sweet and then my liver doctor appointment. I was tired by the time we got home and had dinner (which someone from church lovingly provided for us) so I went to bed about 7:30. It was wonderful! I got about 11 hours of sleep last night as I woke up at 8:00 this morning. EDIT: I did NOT get 11 straight hours of sleep. I had to wake up to feed Taeya 3 times. All three times equalled about 1.5 hours. Just didn't want anyone to think I was starving my baby!

Life is good!
Tayea after her bath time. She loves getting all snuggled up in the towel.

Taeya LOVES having her hands by her face (or in her eyes). We swaddle her really tightly at night but she often still manages to get one or both hands out and by her face. You can see in the seoond picture why we try to keep her hands down (she wakes herself up when she pokes her eyes).

More pics of her unswaddled. The hands automatically end up on the face.

That is wonderful that you got to sleep. Sleep always help! Maybe Taeya will be a thumb sucker since she moves her hands to her face. She is adorable! I cannot believe that sophia looked like that not so long ago. :( They grow up way too fast.

Reminds me of my early days when
Vijay often poked his finger in his eyes. Amazing how they can get out of their swaddle no matter how tight you wrap them! Cute pictures!

My little niece is adorable!!! I love all the pictures. She definitely has mind of her own and she is just going to put her hands where she wants. I love looking at pictures of her and I show all the nurses a work all the time.

Jaydin used to always have his hands wide open and all over his face too!! It used to bother me because his hands looked SOOO big compared to his little face:(

Was her ped checking her beliruben level? What was it...does she have jaundice? How much did she weigh?? You are usually so good at keeping us up-to-date with all her stats!!

When Taeya was born she had a tiny bit of jaundice on her face but not enough to treat. It seems to be completely gone at this point so they aren't testing the beliruben levels. I meant to include her weight in the last post but just forgot. She weighed in at 5 lbs 7 oz. She hasn't gained much in a week's time but the doctor didn't seem too concerned. She has a good appetite and isn't loosing weight.

Steven keeps his hands by his face too. I ended up putting mittens on him because his hands would get so cold out of his blanket. They also keep him from scratching/poking himself.

I found the heavier ones from Wal-Mart are the best, and he actually likes them :)

I can't believe how tiny she is! By the time we got him, Steven was over 8lbs, and that seemed small!
